Dr. Claus Weidner replaces Rudi Borgenheimer positions in PT Mercedes-Benz Indonesia (MBI)
No more Rudi Borgenheimer face in the ranks of senior PT Mercedes-Benz Indonesia (MBI). Rudi as President Director of PT MBI is now replaced by Dr. Claus Weidner.
Dr. Claus Weidner from 1 November 2011 started his activities as President Director of PT MBI. Man who graduates from Ruhr University Bochum had previously served as CEO of Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Ltd. since 2007.
"Indonesia is very good for sales of Mercedes-Benz. Indonesia as the country's potential to increase sales of Mercy. My goal is to maintain and increase performance Mercedes-Benz in Indonesia to remain a leader in the premium vehicle segment in Indonesia," said Claus sidelines his speech at the Hotel Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, Thursday (09/08/2011).
Weidner is actually no stranger to the Mercedes-Benz, he experienced person. At least he began his career at Mercedes-Benz as the East Asian Manager at Mercedes-Benz AG's began 1995-1998.
The man with the educational background of Master of Arts Post Graduate in economics or Social History of Japan and China at the University of Tubingen and Tokyo in 1983-1994 continued his education at the Academy for Business and Administratio, Stuttgart, Germany in 1994-1996 also holds a Doctorate in the field of Japanese Economic and Social History of the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany in 1998.
In his new assignment in PT MBI, Claus Weidner will lead the development and implementation of the strategy, vision, management and marketing company for Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles.
Currently Weidner challenged to maintain the predicate Mercy in the country. At least, can exceed the achievements Rudi. In the hands of Mercy Rudi master bus segment from 35 percent to 54 percent and trucks from 5 percent to 22 percent in Indonesia.
