smart forvision , Electric Car with Plastic Wheel 2012
Frankfurt - Manufacturers of smart cars will soon show a new concept car named forvision. The car driven by an electric battery has a wheel made of plastic.
According to the plan, the smart will show smart forvision at the Frankfurt Motor Show which will be opened on 13 September. From this car, we can see what technologies might be incorporated in the smart fortwo next generation.
Technologically most obvious to be applied this car is a solar panel on the roof of a car that is useful to absorb the energy of sunlight to run a multimedia device as well as climate control in this car.
Smart also has worked with the chemical company BASF several innovations for the future of electric cars are capable of reducing energy consumption. And because the wheels that support the car using plastic materials, it is not wrong if smart forvision able to reduce its weight to 3 pounds lighter than when using the wheels of metal material.
Another innovation is placed on this car is 'e-textiles' which replaces the material that coats the fabric upholstery and interior. This material according to the smart will be able to give depth to the cabin was cold in summer and warm in winter.
