French manufacturer, Citroen, will display the Numero 9 concept in the upcoming Beijing Auto Show. This concept is a futuristic-looking department by taking lot of typical DS models. And has most likely will become the embryo of the future DS9 Citroen flagship sedan.
Looks continuing past Metropolis concept in 2010, only Numero 9 (read: numero Nef) is a stylish sedan. Maybe DS9 is still far from reality, but Numero 9 concept could be a forerunner to other Citroen models as the creation of a compact sedan, midsize sedan or SUV.
This reinforced the concept car engine with a plug-in hybrid capable of achieving keiritan 58.7 km / liter but equivalent in performance sports car. Citroen claims acceleration 0-100 km / h only takes 5.4 seconds with top speeds reaching 243 km / h. Very impressive especially view the total weight of only 1,500 kg.
Gasoline engine duet with electric motors, using a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine-powered 225 hp, then paired with a 70 hp electric motor powered. The motor is powered by lithium-ion battery that can be filled to the brim in just 3.5 hours away from a power source at home.
In full electric mode, Numero 9 can cover a distance of 50 km. If you require any further distance, the gasoline engine turns on and the battery charge function. If you need high performance, two power sources can be used to provide power to 295 hp and driving all-wheel drive.
When lack of traction, the car will switch to all-wheel drive with electric motor for moving the rear wheels and a gasoline engine to the front wheels. While in the more difficult driving conditions, such as slippery road conditions, snow, the driver can choose all-wheel drive mode.
